Fernanda Oliveira,

Principal, English National Ballet





Born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), trained with Centro de Danca Rio from 1987-1995, Pedro Krasczuck 1995-1999 and the Royal Ballet School 1999-2000.

She joined English National Ballet in 2000 as an Artist and went through all the ranks to become a Senior Principal in 2009.

With the company she danced many roles, such as Odette/Odile (Swan Lake), Sugar Plum (The Nutcracker), Swanilda (Coppelia), Giselle (Giselle), Juliet (Romeo & Juliet), Manon (Manon), Cerito (Pas de Quatre), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and created the role of Gerda in "Snow Queen" by Michael Corder. She performed Kitri (Don Quixote) with the Croatia National Theatre (Split) and is also a regular guest with the Croatia National Ballet (Zagreb).
